Dacsa Rice

DACSA is a Valencian family company initially dedicated to the production of corn semolina for the brewing industry, enters in 1982 in the rice sector creating the brand Arroz Dacsa. The beginnings of the brand have always been committed to defend and promote the Denomination of Origin Rice of Valencia, always putting in value the typical gastronomy of the area and bringing to the consumers a tradition so rooted in Valencia as is the cultivation of rice.

Denomination of Origin Valencia

Arroz Dacsa is the leading producer of rice with Denominación de Origen Valencia, a quality seal that certifies the origin and provenance of Valencian rice, and the first to obtain the seal of Natural Product of L’Albufera, granted by the Regional Ministry of Infrastructure, Territory and Environment.

The Regulatory Council of the D.O. Valencia is the public entity in charge of certifying this seal of quality to the varieties of rice and its elaboration process and to certify that the rice has been cultivated and harvested by local farmers in the surroundings of the Albufera Natural Park or the Natural Park of the Marjal de Pego-Oliva and contributes to the care of the environment. D.O. Valencia rice is an excellent flavor conductor due to its high level of absorption. That is why we use it as a fundamental ingredient in our Cooking School.
